Caux Initiatives for Business (CIB) encourages business leaders, young professionals, NGO representatives, trade unionists, experts and decision makers to work together to bridge the gap between the theory and practice of values - in personal conduct and in economic life.

Every summer since 1991, twenty young students from around the world get together in Initiatives of Change's Mountain House to learn about conflict resolution. Through class sessions, sharing with their fellow students and participating in the Initiatives of Change conferences, the Caux Scholars learn how to welcome personal change in order to initiate a global change for peace.

The course will run from July 6th through August 5th. The four weeks will hold approximately forty hours of academic classes, six to seven hours per week of “Service for Leadership” practical work, a field trip to Geneva and full participation in the Caux Forum for Human Security.
The Caux Scholars Program focuses on the moral and spiritual dimensions of peacebuilding and on the relationship between individual transformation and change in the world. It offers students conflict analysis tools and resolution skills. Students have the opportunity to explore the role individuals can play in bringing healing and in building a future where peace, justice and individual freedom flourish. The course examines the personal, religious, social and cultural factors which create and sustain conflict, as well as how to deal with differences.
Conflict transformation and analysis, trauma healing and justice, leadership and culture will continue to be major learning components of the course. Environmental degradation, wounded memories, armed conflict and economic, cultural and religious factors are some of the main causes of human insecurity. For one week, Caux Scholars will have the chance to interact with peacebuilders and representatives from international organizations as they address these issues.
Now with 18 years of history, CSP has 320 alumni from 87 countries. Alumni are active in many areas of life—academics, politics, international organizations, grassroots initiatives.
