Initiatives of Change is best understood as what could be called a ‘prophetic tradition’. Yes it is a charity and organisation - and we are looking at legal, financial and structural issues today. But most profoundly it is a fellowship of people who seek to respond to the needs of the world in the light of absolute moral standards and the wisdom of the ‘still small voice’.

Des commissions ont été lancées en octobre 2009 afin de stimuler la réflexion dans plusieurs domaines : réflexion et expertise sur des problèmes de société, recherche de financement, retour sur les principes, les pratiques et l’histoire du mouvement.

Um novo livro, “Em busca de um Novo Mundo”, de Hennie de Pous, foi lançado em 27 de Julho em Caux durante a conferência de Confiança e Integridade na Economia Global. A autora falou por cerca de 20 minutos sobre o livro, após uma sessão de perguntas e respostas, e de autógrafos.

A new book, Reaching for a new world by Hennie de Pous, was launched on 27 July in Caux during the conference Trust and Integrity in the Global Economy. The author spoke for about 20 minutes on the book, followed by a questions and answer session, and book-signing.

De Pous said, 'In my book ‘Reaching for a new world’ I am trying to bridge two gaps: the generation gap and the history gap. I wrote an honest book about the history and the development of ideas of Initiatives of Change, because young people who start to work with IofC need to know the history in order to feel ownership.'
